Meet The Founder

 Serene Stevens, MSEd began her Early Childhood journey in 1999 as an Assistant Teacher in a Mommy and Me Program. Since then she has held titles such as Certified Head Teacher, Education Director, Assistant Program Director, Director of Early Childhood Programs, Early Childhood Leadership Coach, Professional Development Facilitator. 

In 2007, she earned her Masters Degree in Early Childhood. Her credentials and certifications also include NAEYC T-TAP Coach,  NAEYC T-TAP Professional Development Specialist. She is also a member of the Pyramid Model Network, and a Somatic IFS practicioner. 

She is a mother of three children (born in 2002, 2006, and 2013). In 2018, she founded My Sweet Pea and Me with the vision to share her experience as both an educator and a parent in the hopes of shedding light on the importance of a child’s early years and how the adults in their world can impact their growth and development through positive, intentional, and impactful experiences. 

Today, Serene integrates relationship-based coaching with somatic practices to support leaders, educators, and parents in developing greater awareness, presence, and connection. Her holistic approach helps adults not only strengthen their skills but also deepen their capacity for authentic relationships—fostering environments where both children and adults can thrive.
